JEAN MICHEL JARRE: MELT! FESTIVAL PERFORMANCE CANCELLED

Jean Michel Jarre's Management have issued the following statement announcing the cancellation of Jean Michel Jarre's performance at the Melt! Festival, Gräfenhainchen, Germany, originally scheduled for July 16th 2016:-

"We are disappointed to announce that Jean-Michel Jarre's performance at Melt! Festival has been cancelled due to local on-site technical and logistical constraints.

Jean-Michel Jarre is very much saddened by this news but is much looking forward to returning to Germany later this Autumn with his full-scale live production in tow for his ELECTRONICA TOUR. The following dates have been fixed.

October 16 – Festhall – Frankfurt, Germany
October 19 – Barclaycard Arena – Hamburg, Germany
October 20 – Mercedes Benz Arena – Berlin, Germany
October 22 – Electricity Conference @ ISS Dome – Dusseldorf, Germany
November 19 – Arena Nürnberg – Nuremberg, Germany
November 21 – Munsterlandhalle – Munster, Germany

However, Jean Michel Jarre has added two additional Festival performances, the first at the Montreux Jazz Festival, Montreux, Switzerland on July 11th 2016, and the second at the Baalbeck International Festival, Baalbeck, Lebanon on July 30th 2016.

The Guardian Newspaper are holding a 60 minute evening talk with Jean Michel Jarre in London on Wednesday 4th May 2016, "about his life and extraordinary career", ahead of the release of his new Studio Album 'ELECTRONICA 2: THE HEART OF NOISE', scheduled to be released on Friday 6th May 2016.

"One of the undisputed founding fathers of electronic music, Jarre has bridged the gap between critical and commercial success for almost half a century. Celebrated for his experimental electronic compositions, legendary live shows (including the largest ever gig on earth), he'll discuss his music, influences and upcoming new work." says The Guardian.

The event takes place at Kings Place, 90 York Way, London, N1 9AG, from 19:00-20:00 BST on Wednesday 4th May 2016.

Tickets cost £15.00 each (plus a £1.11 booking fee), with concessions available. "Wheelchair users and visitors who require an assistant may bring a companion free of charge. To book a free companion ticket please email guardianlive.events@theguardian.com."
